hi, i'm shukran

i’m a melbourne-based artist and designer creating monochrome, minimal ceramics that celebrate everyday rituals. i fell in love with pottery in 2023 after rediscovering my creativity, and i’ve been making pieces that spark connection ever since.

when i’m not making pottery, i’m working as a freelance graphic designer or having coffee in one of melbourne's amazing coffee shops. i'm currently working on new designs and developing workshops. follow along on instagram for restocks, events, and behind-the-scenes moments.

i’ve been creative for as long as I can remember. drawing, painting, making things. growing up, i moved across three continents, and art became the only stable thing in my life. it was the one constant when my home, friends, school, cities kept shifting.

during the covid lockdowns, i taught myself oil painting and spent every day painting portraits. but after covid i felt burnt out and didn't do anything creative for nearly two years. in 2023, i discovered pottery, and felt like i got my spark back. working with clay reconnected me to my childlike wonder.

at the time, i was working at a café, and since I’ve always loved coffee, i gravitated toward making coffee cups. whenever i bring my own handmade cup to a café, it always leads to the best chats and unexpected moments (proof that art things really does bring people together)

now, i make ceramics from my home studio, focusing on monochrome and minimal designs. i’m currently working on new designs and planning upcoming workshops, which I’m so excited to share.

the best way to keep up with restocks, events, and all things ceramics is to follow me on instagram. join me on this journey of reimagining everyday objects!
